Join Autism NI on this important occasion to call for the introduction of a specialist mental health service for autistic people.  We have 35,000 autistic people living in Northern Ireland and 80% of those people will experience mental health issues during their lives.  Autism NI wants to ensure that the right support is available, at the right time, from mental health professionals that fully understand the needs of autistic people.
 
Guest Speaker Dr James Cussack from the UK’s leading autism research charity, Autistica, will be presenting on their recent research on autism and poor mental health.  Opening remarks will be from Professor Siobhan O’Neill, The Mental Health Champion for Northern Ireland.
