Sperrinview go out with a BANG at ‘The Big Bang Fair’!
On Monday 12 June, two pupils from Sperrinview School visited ‘The Big Bang Fair’, hosted by Sentinus in The University of Ulster, Jordanstown. Mark and Sinead were there representing Middle and Senior School in the ‘Young Innovators’ Special Schools category. They were part of a project which involved manufacturing Air Fresheners to sell through Sperrinview’s Young Enterprise Team, Green Fingers. Along with their class M2, Mark and Sinead were involved in research into the product development behind the air freshener, studying the science behind ‘changing states’ through solids, liquids and gases. They beat off stiff competition from two other special schools to take TOP PRIZE. This latest win for Sperrinview is the cherry on the cake as it marks the fifth major award the school have enjoyed with their hand-crafted air freshener, Citrus Infusion. Well done Mark and Sinead!
