Forget the World Cup – it’s a Hat Trick for the Green Fingers Team!
Back in March this year, Sperrinview’s Young Enterprise Team, Green Fingers, attended the Area Competitions in Moy Park training Centre, Portadown. To compete, the team had to give a Presentation and were also interviewed by a Panel of Judges. The team attended the Big Celebration Event in Titanic, Belfast where they would announce the winners of the competition. Green Fingers missed out on the ‘big win’ of the day however Head Girl, Kate, managed to scoop herself the award for Young Entreprenuer for the Southern Area– the same award was also won by last year’s Head Girl of Sperrinview, Nadia. Kate was unable to attend the event however one of her classmates, Natasha, collected it on her behalf.
By winning this award, Kate was invited to the Young Enterprise Black Tie Event held in the City Hall, Belfast on Thursday 14 June. Kate’s Young Enterprise teacher, Mr Reid and Business Advisor from Dunbia, Claire are thankful she allowed them to attend the event with her. However, Kate wasn’t finished yet. Her name was called out once again by Cool FM’s Pete Snodden and she received one last award – for Team Programme Management! In total the Green Fingers team and Kate have won three wards this year with their highly successful air freshener, Spring Fresh. Go Sperrinview!
