Eco School Success

Sperrinview Special School have been awarded a prestigious Eco-Schools Green Flag by the environmental charity Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful. This internationally recognised flag is the highest award given to Eco-Schools and symbolises excellence in the field of environmental activity.
The Eco-Schools Programme provides the opportunity to foster environmental awareness while linking to many curriculum subjects. This programme aims to educate and empower young people to make positive decisions and become change makers for an environmentally sustainable world.
Mr Brown, the teacher who led the programme this year, has been placed as a finalist in the Eco Schools Teacher of the Year Award. Congratulations Mr Brown.
